Many may have heard from Christians that "Jesus Christ is the only Son of God" and "He is the only way to Salvation."
Then, what about other prophets and Avatars in other religions?
An Indian Saint-poet, Abhirami Bhattar (circa 18th century) says about Sri Krishna and Lord Shiva, in a similar fashion, in the "Linked-List" poem addressed Divine Mother, as follows:
"From One, O Divine Mother, You blossomed as many becoming innumerous worlds,
You stand transcending all these as well.
Yet, You dance in the cave of my heart unfailingly;
Only the one who slept on the Banyan-tree leaf (Sri Krishna) and
My Lord (Shiva) know the meaning of this secret!"
So, how do we reconcile these view points? Based on the teachings of Sri Paramhansa Yogananda on Sri Krishna and Jesus Christ, it occurred to me in the context of this poem, as follows:
Krishna = Christ (Son) = Universal Consciousness = Paramaathma ("born" within the womb of creation)
Shiva = God (Father) = Cosmic Consciousness = Brahman ("unborn" and pervades within and beyond the creation)
